When this item is checked in the WORK menu, each slide will automatically Reset when you use either of the arrow buttons at the bottom of the slide to navigate elsewhere in the lecture.
The slide will NOT automatically reset if:
ΓÇó you use the arrow keys on your keyboard
ΓÇó you move by a link to another slide
ΓÇó you have unchecked this item in the WORK menu
Since resetting can cause a noticeable delay, you may wish to have the option of moving on quickly, especially during the construction of your lecture. The arrow keys on the keyboard give you that option even when AUTORESET is checked.
You might want to check off items on a master slide, linking to a new slide as each item is checked off, and linking back when the item has been discussed. In such cases you would not want the master slide reset by these linked transitions. Moreover, the delays involved in resetting would impair the effectiveness of the visual transition provided by linking. With these thoughts in mind, I've designed the current version of SmartSlides so as not to reset slides during links. Some future version might give you an option on this.
